About 1850 Wine Cellars
1850 Wine Cellars takes its name from the Gold Rush year and its fruit from Amador, Fair Play and other Sierra Foothill vineyards, crafting a California heritage lineup that runs from Sauvignon Blanc to late harvest Zinfandel and port style dessert wine. After seven years in Sutter Creek, the tasting room moved to Apple Hill in Camino, next door to sister winery Myka Estates.
The new rustic outdoor space sits among the pines just off Highway 50, with gourmet grilled cheese from the neighboring kitchen and several walkable wineries on Carson Court. Sierra Foothills tasting means ridge roads, small rooms and almost no crowds. Confirm current hours, tasting fees and reservation policies with the winery before you go.
