About AB Astris Winery

Ab Astris Winery is a family-owned and operated boutique winery in Stonewall, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, at 320 Klein Road. The name means "of the stars" in Latin. It was founded in 2018 by Erin and Tony Smith along with their daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Mike Nelson.

The estate farms a 12-acre vineyard planted to Tannat, Souzao, Clairette Blanche, Petite Sirah and Montepulciano, and produces 100% Texas-grown whites, reds and roses handcrafted on-site. Visitors can taste in the winery's tasting room and on the outdoor patio, and the winery runs an active wine club with member gatherings and live music.

The tasting room is generally open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from noon to 5pm and Saturday from noon to 6pm, and is typically closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Hours and offerings can change, so it is best to confirm current details with the winery before visiting.
