Avila Wine & Roasting Co. takes its name from Avila Beach — the small coastal community tucked between Shell Beach and Port San Luis on the San Luis Obispo County coast, where the Pacific Ocean's proximity makes the air salt-edged and the light different from inland wine country.
The Higuera Street location in downtown San Luis Obispo serves as the combined tasting room and coffee roasting facility — a dual-identity operation that reflects the founding team's belief that artisan wine and specialty coffee occupy similar sensory territory: both are agricultural products shaped by terroir, both reward careful attention, both are best when shared.
Central Coast Grenache, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir from Edna Valley and Santa Barbara County sources sit alongside single-origin coffees roasted on-site, creating a visit unlike any other Central Coast wine experience.
