About Babcock Winery & Vineyards
Babcock is a pioneering family estate in the Sta. Rita Hills, established in 1984 by Bryan Babcock along Highway 246 near Lompoc, when the appellation was still largely undiscovered. Babcock built its reputation on precise, site-driven cool-climate wines, especially Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, that helped define what this fog-swept western corner of Santa Barbara County could do.
The tasting room sits right on Highway 246, an easy, walk-in-friendly stop as you make your way through the Sta. Rita Hills, with a relaxed, unpretentious feel and a lineup that rewards the curious.
