About Bledsoe-McDaniels

In the Press
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate has praised the Bledsoe-McDaniels lineup for its balanced structure, lifting tannins and juicy acidity.

Bledsoe-McDaniels is a Walla Walla Valley winery founded by former NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe and winemaker Josh McDaniels, a sister project to Bledsoe's acclaimed Doubleback label within Bledsoe Wine Estates. The two men built the brand around a shared fascination with two very different places: the Willamette Valley of Oregon and the Walla Walla Valley of Washington and Oregon. The wines are a deliberate conversation between those valleys, pairing Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with Walla Walla Syrah.

Josh McDaniels was born and raised in Walla Walla and got his start in wine at Leonetti Cellar, working under Chris Figgins before formal training at the Institute for Enology and Viticulture in Walla Walla. That grounding shows in a portfolio of small production, single vineyard wines drawn from the family's own estate vineyards. In Walla Walla those estates include Schafer in the Mill Creek area, McQueen on the fractured basalt of the SeVein development, and LeFore in the cobblestones of the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater; the Oregon side is anchored by the Coulee estate in the Eola-Amity Hills, acquired in 2021 from regenerative-farming grower Mimi Casteel.

Visits are private and by reservation only. The Walla Walla tasting experience takes place at the Schafer Estate at 178 Vineyard Ln, where guests taste through the small production wines with views over the estate vineyards. Reserve directly through the winery. Details on this profile can change, so the winery's own website is always the most authoritative source.
