About Boordy Vineyards
Boordy is Maryland wine's founding house: Philip Wagner's 1945 bond, the state's first, introduced French hybrids to America from this project, and the Deford family, stewards since 1980, rebuilt the Long Green Valley estate into a modern flagship, Landmark reserves and summer concert lawns carrying eight decades of state history.
Wagner's hybrid legacy and Deford reinvestment made it the mid-Atlantic's institutional memory. Where Maryland wine began.
