About Breathless Sparkling Wines
Breathless Sparkling Wines is one of the most distinctive and personally motivated winery projects in Healdsburg. Sisters Sharon, Rebecca, and Cynthia founded the label as a tribute to their mother Martha Jane, a woman who taught them to live breathlessly and find joy in every moment. Award-winning winemaker Penny Gadd-Coster, described by the sisters as their honorary fourth sibling, crafts all wines using méthode champenoise, the traditional Champagne method of secondary fermentation in the bottle that produces the finest sparkling wines.
The tasting room is genuinely unlike anything else in Healdsburg. Built from five reclaimed shipping containers and designed with a 1920s Art Deco aesthetic, white marble accents, an Art Deco door as the entryway, a garden patio that reviewers consistently describe as 'tranquil and beautiful', the Moore Lane facility is a walk from the Plaza but feels like a complete departure from the standard Healdsburg wine country aesthetic. Forbes Magazine called Breathless sparkling wines 'excellent… joyous and playful.'
The experience includes a sabering lesson as a special add-on, making Breathless one of the most experientially complete and celebration-oriented tasting rooms in Sonoma County. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier form the foundation of a sparkling portfolio that pairs well with life's special moments, exactly as the three sisters intended.
