About Brewer-Clifton
Brewer-Clifton is a foundational name in the Sta. Rita Hills, started in the 1990s by Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton before the appellation even existed and instrumental in putting this cool, wind-swept stretch of Santa Barbara County on the map. Winemaker Greg Brewer, a former French professor and a Wine Enthusiast Winemaker of the Year, has spent three decades here making only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, raised in neutral oak with a philosophy of transparency that lets each vineyard speak.
You can taste the results at the Brewer-Clifton tasting room in walkable Los Olivos, a sleek, modern space among a cluster of tasting rooms and restaurants made for a day on foot. More intimate, by-appointment tastings are also hosted at the Lompoc winery, steps from the production floor, where the precision behind these acclaimed, site-driven wines comes into focus.
