About Caraccioli Cellars
Caraccioli Cellars is a family-run winery best known for making some of the finest sparkling wine in the country. Started by the Caraccioli family in 2006 and grown from their 124-acre Escolle Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the wines were shaped by the late Michel Salgues, the renowned winemaker formerly of Roederer Estate. The vintage, traditional-method Brut Cuvee and Brut Rose, aged nearly four years on the yeast, have won top international honors, alongside elegant still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The tasting room sits in the heart of walkable Carmel-by-the-Sea, one of many along the town's charming streets, in a cozy, contemporary space with a genuinely welcoming feel. Because production is small and largely sold on-site and to Michelin-starred local restaurants, a stop here is a rare chance to taste world-class California bubbles close to the source.
