Carr Winery is a small, handcrafted winery in downtown Santa Barbara founded by winemaker Ryan Carr with his first vintage in 1999. Located on North Salsipuedes Street in the heart of Santa Barbara's Urban Wine Trail, Carr produces ultra-premium, limited-production wines sourced entirely from Santa Barbara County vineyards. The portfolio showcases the diverse microclimates of the region with Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc, each crafted in a traditional style that captures the essence of the grape and the specific site where it was grown.
In addition to winemaking, Carr owns a vineyard management and development company, giving the team an intimate connection to the land that shows in every bottle. The tasting room and patio offer a relaxed downtown atmosphere with wines by the glass, flights, and a menu of small plates. A second tasting room in Santa Ynez provides access to the wines in the heart of wine country. Carr has built a loyal following among Santa Barbara locals and visitors who appreciate serious, site-driven wines in an unpretentious urban setting.
