About Copper Bison Tasting Room
Copper Bison Tasting Room is not a winery of its own but a tasting room that pours Nebraska wine, set in the lower level of the lodge at ReWild Ranch, formerly Comstock Premier Lodge, at 81785 Road 457 in Sargent, Nebraska. This is Custer County ranch country in the Sandhills, and the drives between stops out here are long.
The room pours wine from ten Nebraska wineries, among them Feather River, Mac's Creek and Niobrara Valley, including a five wine flight called The Herd, and it also serves beer, whiskey, bourbon, margaritas, Bloody Marys and non alcoholic drinks. There is food too, including specialty pizzas, pulled bison barbecue and bison and elk burgers. An outdoor deck and beer garden look over the Sandhills, with bison and elk on the property, and the ranch runs UTV wildlife tours to see them. There is a gift shop, lodging upstairs, free parking including bus parking, and the room is a stop on the Nebraska Wine Passport.
VisitNebraska lists the room open Thursday through Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm, year round. The ranch itself advises calling ahead because hours vary, and notes the space is also booked for private events and gatherings. Tasting fee could not be confirmed.
