About Elk Run Vineyards & Winery
Elk Run is Maryland vinifera's old guard: Fred and Carol Wilson planted Mount Airy's Liberty Road ground in the early 1980s on Dr. Konstantin Frank's personal encouragement, Cold Friday Chardonnay and age-worthy Cabernet keeping the pioneer estate's standards while the industry they seeded grew around them.
Frank-lineage credentials and estate persistence anchor the state's origin story. The first believers.
