Fathom Ink Wines combines two elements: the fathom (the nautical unit of water depth, six feet, the measure of how deep the anchor reaches) and ink (the writing medium, the material of expression, the dark liquid that makes thought permanent). Wine at the fathom's depth is wine with the anchor dropped — wine that holds ground, that has reached a stable depth. The ink of wine is its ability to express and record the vintage's character permanently in the bottle. The Sonoma Coast micro-boutique produces Pinot Noir from extreme coastal contracted vineyard sources.
