About Galante Vineyards
Galante Vineyards carries the Spanish-Italian-heritage family surname of Jack Galante — Galante (Italian and Spanish for 'gallant,' courteous, chivalrous) applied to a Carmel Valley Cabernet Sauvignon estate at the end of the Cachagua Road, one of Carmel Valley's most remote and dramatically positioned wine properties. Jack Galante is a fifth-generation Carmel Valley resident, his family heritage in the region predating the wine industry by generations. The estate's remote Cachagua Road position at the far end of Carmel Valley means the Galante Cabernet Sauvignon comes from one of California's most dramatically isolated estate vineyards, where the Santa Lucia Range's elevation and Pacific proximity create conditions of unusual freshness and structural complexity for a warm-climate Cabernet site.
