About Gale Vineyards
Gale Vineyards planted its first Durham vines in 2001 and built its winery and cellar from reclaimed materials, a small estate whose Saturday-only pours reward the planned visit.
The Stanford Lane property keeps everything personal: family winemaking, estate fruit and one open afternoon a week, noon to five.
Fold it into a Durham Saturday with Almendra minutes away; the reclaimed-timber room is the district's most tactile setting.
