About Gamba Vineyards and Winery
Gamba is Russian River old-vine orthodoxy: the family's head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel vines, rooted since the early twentieth century, yield the concentrated, heritage-style Zins that collectors of the old school seek out by name. The family farms the gnarled blocks themselves, and visits, arranged ahead, walk rows planted before Prohibition changed everything.
Tiny lots from ancient wood keep allocation tight. The old vines still argue best.
