About Gard Walla Walla
Gard Estate Wines, established in 2006, is the Lawrence family's tribute to their Scandinavian farming heritage - 'Gard' means farm - grown at the family's Lawrence Vineyards on the Royal Slope near Royal City. Winemaker Matias Kusulas works entirely with that estate fruit, Syrah to Franc Blanc, giving every Gard room the same origin story in the glass.
The Walla Walla room holds down 43 E Main Street in the heart of the downtown wine district, open seven days with evening hours deep into the week.
Among downtown's tasting rows it stands out for pouring one estate's fruit rather than sourced lots - the Royal Slope, argued glass by glass.
