About Gehricke Wines
Gehricke Wines is a small-lot Sonoma County label with a strong sense of place, both in the bottle and in its name. It is the project of August Sebastiani, a fourth-generation member of one of Sonoma's founding wine families, and the name pays tribute to Gehricke Road, one of the old, dusty back roads to forgotten vineyards that he explored as a boy growing up in Sonoma. Winemaker Alex Beloz makes the wines with minimal intervention, aiming to capture the truest expression of each appellation.
The heart of the range is a single-vineyard series drawn from premium sub-regions across the county: a Knights Valley Cabernet, a Russian River Zinfandel, a Sonoma Valley Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and more, several of them earning 90-plus-point scores.
The tasting room occupies a historic firehouse just a few blocks off the Sonoma Plaza, an atmospheric setting with vintage character. It is relaxed and welcoming, open Thursday through Sunday with walk-ins encouraged, dog- and family-friendly, and on Food Truck Fridays local vendors set up outside to pair street eats with a glass of Gehricke.
