About Geyser Peak Winery
Geyser Peak Winery is one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in the Alexander Valley. Founded in 1880 on the Chianti Road property in Geyserville — when the Alexander Valley was still primarily a farming rather than wine destination — the winery has been producing wines from the same land for over 140 years, predating the modern California wine industry by decades.
The Trione family, who co-founded a modern iteration of the estate in 1972, built Geyser Peak into one of Sonoma County's most recognized large-production quality labels before eventually establishing Trione Vineyards as their own family expression. The current estate continues the tradition of accessible, value-driven Alexander Valley wines produced from the warm-climate benchland and hillside terrain surrounding the historic Chianti Road facility.
The daily walk-in tasting experience with sweeping Geyserville-area views and picnic grounds makes Geyser Peak one of the most accessible estate experiences in the northern Alexander Valley — a natural stop on any Geyserville-area wine exploration that combines genuine historical depth with the approachable pricing and open hospitality that has sustained the brand across 140+ years of continuous operation.
