The gray pine's ghostly appearance in the dry foothill terrain between the valleys and the Sierra Nevada creates the visual identity of the ghost-pine landscape. The Sonoma-Napa blending program produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from both counties' vineyard sources.
