About Goldeneye Winery
Goldeneye Winery is the Duckhorn Wine Company's Anderson Valley Pinot Noir estate — and the property that helped establish the valley as one of California's great Pinot Noir regions. Founded in 1997 on 173 acres of the Philo Highway 128 corridor, Goldeneye planted 23 clones of Pinot Noir on 11 different rootstocks across four estate vineyards, creating the kind of clonal and geological diversity that allows winemakers to blend with precision or produce site-specific single-vineyard expressions of genuine individual character.
The estate's position in the Anderson Valley — where morning fog from the Mendocino coast meets afternoon warmth channeled through the valley's narrow corridor — creates growing conditions that produce Pinot Noir of unusual elegance, cool-climate freshness, and the coastal mineral character that distinguishes Anderson Valley from warmer California Pinot Noir appellations. The Cerise Vineyard and Confluence Vineyard single-vineyard bottlings have earned Goldeneye consistent 92–96 point recognition and established the estate as Anderson Valley's most critically acclaimed estate Pinot Noir producer.
The tasting experience at the farmhouse estate — with scenic gardens, picnic grounds, rolling hills and redwood forests in every direction — is described by California Winery Advisor as 'one of the best in the valley.' The seated Essentials Tasting and food-pairing options, leashed dogs welcome on the outdoor terrace, make Goldeneye the most complete and welcoming Anderson Valley wine estate visit.
