About Gramercy Cellars
Gramercy Cellars was founded in 2005 by Greg Harrington, a Master Sommelier who left New York restaurant wine programs to pursue Washington wine production full-time. Harrington's background in service rather than production shaped his approach: he makes wines for the table rather than the scoring sheet, with an emphasis on balance, freshness, and the kind of structure that makes wine a companion to food rather than a performance in itself.
The Syrah program is Gramercy's most celebrated achievement — single-vineyard bottlings from Columbia Valley, Walla Walla, and Yakima Valley sites that show the range and adaptability of Washington Syrah. The Lagniappe Syrah and John Lewis Syrah, from named vineyard sites, have drawn exceptional critical attention while remaining genuinely food-friendly rather than opulently extracted.
Gramercy also produces outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Tempranillo from Washington's diverse growing regions. Harrington's Master Sommelier training is evident in every wine — these are wines made by someone who understands the full context of wine service, pairing, and cellaring.
