About Holman Ranch
Holman Ranch is a storied Carmel Valley estate centered on a 1928 Carmel-stone hacienda that was once a Hollywood hideaway for the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Clark Gable. Restored by the Lowder family, who planted the vineyards and built an underground wine cave, it is Carmel Valley's only 100% estate winery, focused on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Rose, alongside estate olive oil.
There are two ways to taste: a walk-in Historic Tasting Room in Carmel Valley Village, set in an old Wells Fargo building, and by-appointment estate experiences at the ranch itself, from hacienda tastings with Santa Lucia views to ATV vineyard tours and wine-cave barrel tastings. Steeped in history and set amid olive groves and sweeping views, it is one of Carmel Valley's most distinctive stops.
