About Hunt Cellars
Hunt Cellars is one of Paso Robles' most distinctive family wineries, founded in 1996 by David Hunt, a legally blind winemaker who turns his heightened senses of taste and smell to his advantage. Also an accomplished musician, David names his wines for songs and music, from Rhapsody in Red to Unforgettable, and the estate Destiny Vineyard yields age-worthy Bordeaux, Rhone, and Italian varieties, plus the largest collection of ports in Paso.
The tasting room is a cozy stone cottage with a white grand piano at its center, and it is not unusual for David himself to sit down and play. Taste through new releases and library wines aged up to twenty years with a cheese pairing, indoors by the fireplace or out on the veranda and lawn. Open daily, walk-ins welcome, family- and pet-friendly, it is a warm, genuinely memorable stop.
