Indigenous Wines takes its name from the concept of indigenous — original, native, belonging to the place from the beginning. The indigenous naming declares the estate's philosophical alignment with the original stewards of the Central Coast landscape: the Salinan and Chumash peoples who inhabited the Paso Robles region for thousands of years before Spanish colonization. The boutique produces Grenache and Tempranillo from Geneseo District vineyard sources with a commitment to land stewardship that acknowledges and honors the indigenous relationship to the land that wine growing now occupies.
