About J Vineyards & Winery
J Vineyards & Winery is the Russian River Valley's most complete sparkling and still wine estate. Founded in 1986 by Judy Jordan — daughter of Tom Jordan of Jordan Vineyard & Winery — J was established with a specific mission: to produce serious méthode champenoise sparkling wines from Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a region that proved ideally suited to the cool-climate, long-hang-time growing conditions that the finest Champagne producers require.
The sparkling program is the estate's most distinctive achievement: Brut, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs, and limited cuvées made using traditional Champagne methods from estate and sourced RRV fruit have earned J consistent recognition as California's finest non-Napa sparkling wine producer. The still wine program — Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris — is equally excellent, produced from the same cool-climate RRV sources with the same meticulous attention to detail.
The Bubble Room food pairing experience — pairing seasonal small bites with every wine in the J lineup — has become one of the most celebrated food-and-wine tasting experiences in the Russian River Valley. Now part of E&J Gallo since 2015, J continues to produce wines of consistent excellence that honor the Judy Jordan vision of RRV sparkling wine as California's answer to Champagne.
