John Christ pours Avon Lake's other heirloom: the 1946-founded family winery serves lake-plain wines from a stone-and-timber cellar room, old-belt tradition and neighborly prices holding the west shore's line. Hours run weekend-forward at the cellar, and the lake-plain drive threads the old grape belt's surviving rows.
