About Lando Wines
Lando Wines is a small, family-owned Sonoma County label founded in 2012 by first-generation vintners Sam and Jennifer Lando. Sam spent nearly two decades working with some of the region's most respected Pinot Noir producers before he and Jennifer borrowed against their savings to build their own Pinot-focused winery, and the Russian River Valley has been home to the Landos for decades.
The winery focuses on intense yet elegant, balanced Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from cool-climate sites, principally the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast, with some fruit from the Sta. Rita Hills. Working closely with well-regarded growers, they aim for lush aromatics, a saturating mid-palate and a long finish, and their wines have earned consistently strong scores from collectors and critics.
Lando is a small-production label that sells the large majority of its wine directly to mailing-list members through spring and fall releases rather than through a conventional daily tasting room. Anyone interested in the wines is best served by joining the list; confirm any visit or tasting arrangement directly with the winery.
