About Latcham Vineyards
Latcham Vineyards is one of El Dorado County's most historically founding wine estates — Frank and Sherry Latcham established the Omo Ranch Road estate in 1981, making them among the Fair Play district's earliest modern wine producers. The Latcham English-heritage family surname on a Sierra Foothills wine label represents four decades of continuous family farming in California's Gold Rush country.
The Omo Ranch Road estate produces Zinfandel, Barbera, Grenache, and Syrah from Fair Play AVA vineyard blocks at the elevation and terrain that the Mt. Aukum area's high-altitude character defines. The 40-plus years of Latcham family farming the same Omo Ranch Road terrain have produced the accumulated soil knowledge that only time and patience build.
