Longshadow Ranch Winery is named for the long shadow — the elongated shadow that low-angle light casts in the early morning and late afternoon, the shadow that extends far beyond its object when the sun is near the horizon. The long shadow declares the estate's relationship to time: wine made in the golden hour, when the light stretches long across the vineyard and the day's heat begins to relent. The Calle Contento estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Viognier from Temecula Valley estate vineyard blocks.
