About Maya Estate
Maya Estate is the ultra-premium single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon produced by the Dalla Valle family — named for Gustav Dalla Valle's daughter Maya, who was born in the early years of the estate and for whom the flagship wine is named. The Maya naming carries an additional resonance: the Mayan civilization of Mesoamerica, whose calendar, astronomical precision, and agricultural sophistication were among the ancient world's most complex.
The Oakville estate produces the Maya Cabernet Sauvignon from a single hillside vineyard block that has attracted remarkable critical attention. Wine Advocate has scored Maya at 96–100 points across multiple vintages, placing it among Napa Valley's most consistently perfect-scoring Cabernet programs.
The name — daughter, civilization, ancient knowledge — declared on Oakville's most critically acclaimed single-vineyard Cabernet creates the personal and historical depth that the wine's scores suggest.
