About Mountain Meads Co.

Mountain Meads Co. is a micro meadery and apiary at 221 Spring Hill Drive in Falls, Pennsylvania, in the Endless Mountains of the state's northeast. It opened in October 2023 and is deliberately small, making its honey wines in batches sized to keep quality and consistency under control rather than to fill shelves. The honey comes from the operation's own hives on the property, and the fruit comes from its own gardens and orchards, so the wines are estate in the fullest sense.

What gets poured is a rotating set of meads and fruit honey wines, changing with what the hives and the orchard produce through the season. The tasting room is done in a nostalgic 1940s Americana style, built out of reclaimed barn wood and antique furnishings with a working phonograph in the room, and in cold months the meadery sets up seasonal igloo tastings outside. The shop also carries raw wildflower honey, beeswax candles and branded merchandise, so a tasting doubles as a stop for honey from the same bees.

Access is limited and planned. The meadery is open by reservation only, and currently on Fridays and Saturdays, so a booking is not optional. The phone is 570-540-7004 and the listed contact email is info@mountain-meads.com. Falls sits in Wyoming County, an easy detour from the Route 92 corridor north of Scranton. Please confirm current days, hours, mead availability and reservation terms with the meadery before you go.

Estate honey, estate fruit and a 1940s room with a working phonograph, open by reservation on Fridays and Saturdays.
