About Nevada City Winery
Nevada City Winery revived a Gold Rush wine tradition when it opened in 1980, becoming the oldest operating winery in Nevada County and an anchor of the town's historic district, where its tasting room and working cellar occupy a former garage on Spring Street. The label draws on Sierra vineyards for a broad range led by Zinfandel, Syrah and mountain reds.
Four-plus decades in, the winery doubles as a community institution, its deck overlooking the town it helped re-put on the wine map. Gold country history, poured downtown.
