Nidus Cellars is named from the Latin nidus — the nest, the birthplace, the point of origin. In biology, the nidus is the site where an organism develops — the egg in the nest, the embryo in the womb. Applied to wine, the nidus declares the vineyard as the birthplace of everything that follows: the nest in which the wine's character originates before the cellar develops it further.
