About Norman Vineyards
Norman Vineyards is one of Paso Robles' most historically founding family estates — Art and Lei Norman planted their El Pomar District vineyards in 1971, before Paso Robles had a recognized wine appellation, before the region had any national reputation, when the Vineyard Drive corridor was more cattle country than wine country.
The Norman family's English-heritage surname on the label has been there from the beginning: their name, their land, their vines, their accountability. Art Norman's Monster Zinfandel — named for its size and character rather than anything threatening — became one of Paso Robles' most recognizable wine brands in the 1990s and helped establish the region's reputation for bold, generous Zinfandel.
Wine Spectator has scored Norman Vineyards' Monster Zinfandel and The Classic Red at 89–93 points, and the daily walk-in experience on Vineyard Drive remains one of Paso Robles' most historically grounded wine tourism stops.
