Toje Winery takes its name from a portmanteau of the founders' first names — Tobin and Joel compressed into Toje, a single syllable carrying both identities. It is a personal name in the truest sense: not a place, not a concept, but two people rendered into one word and placed on a bottle.
The El Pomar District estate produces Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel from the warm, calcareous soils of Paso Robles' central east-side district.
