About Paumanok Vineyards

Paumanok is the Massoud family's benchmark: three generations farm the Aquebogue estate whose Chenin Blanc, the East Coast's most celebrated, dry rieslings and Bordeaux reds earned White House pours and critical devotion, Kareem Massoud now leading the cellar.

Whitman's Algonquian name for Long Island crowns the island's most complete portfolio. The fork's first family of quality.

Paumanok remains a true family operation: founders Ursula and Charles Massoud are still involved while sons Kareem (winemaker) and Salim (administration) run the business day to day. Summer Fridays bring a sunset special of raw oysters, a Greek snack bar, and $8 glasses on the deck. The family also owns nearby Palmer Vineyards, purchased in 2018, where a pub-styled second tasting room hosts live music and wood-fired pizza dinners.
