Pierce Ranch works Monterey's frontier: the San Antonio Valley in the county's remote south, where the family estate specializes in Iberian varieties, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, Albarino and port-style bottlings, that thrive in the high, hot valley the mainstream passed by.
