About PRIE Winery
PRIE is Lodi's proud wine-geek corner: John and Lisa Gash, former Lawrence Livermore Lab colleagues and self-taught winemakers whose first vintage was 2005, moved from Livermore to an 8.5-acre east-side vineyard on Alpine Road, built their small winery in 2013 and opened the tasting room in 2015. The couple has steadily grafted the estate toward adventurous varieties, Picpoul Blanc, Grenache, Mourvedre, Cab Franc, and rarities like Mencia and Prieto Picudo, alongside old-vine Soucie fruit.
The wines run low-alcohol, aromatic and food-first, poured outdoors under towering oaks in a famously low-key, sit-in-our-yard style, Friday through Sunday. Lodi's most cheerfully nerdy address.
