About Puma Road Winery
Puma Road is third generation Salinas Valley farmer Ray Franscioni's label, founded in 2003 and made entirely from estate fruit: Burgundian varieties from his Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards and Bordeaux reds from the warm Pedregal Vineyard in the Paicines AVA, all under winemaker Olivier Rousset. The family farms well over a thousand acres of vines and keeps only a sliver for its own bottles.
The Portola Plaza tasting room on Alvarado Street in downtown Monterey pours daily with regular live music, and a second room sits on the River Road wine trail in Soledad, in the heart of the Highlands. Monterey tasting splits between walkable town rooms and the River Road estates. Confirm current hours, tasting fees and reservation policies with the winery before you go.
