About Renwood Winery

Update: The Renwood tasting room on Steiner Road in Plymouth has closed. Rombauer Vineyards acquired the property in 2019 and now operates its Sierra Foothills tasting room at this site, so visits under the Renwood name are no longer available. Renwood became one of Amador's most visible names in the 1990s, building a substantial Shenandoah Valley winery around old-vine Zinfandel bottlings, including storied vineyard designates like Grandpere fruit from some of the state's oldest Zin, alongside Barbera and Rhone varieties. The grand tasting room made it a flagship stop on the Plymouth wine road.

Ownership has evolved over the decades, but the house identity remains old-vine Amador Zinfandel served at scale. A gateway winery for many visitors' first foothill trip.
