About Robert Young Estate Winery

Robert Young Estate Winery honors one of Alexander Valley's most pioneering farming families. Robert Young's ancestors first farmed this land in 1858 — four generations before he established the winery in 1997. The 700-acre estate on the rolling foothills above Geyserville is one of the most beautiful and historically significant properties in the Alexander Valley.

Robert Young himself was a key figure in establishing the quality reputation of Alexander Valley Chardonnay. The 'Young's Block' designation on wines from the estate's original 1963 Chardonnay planting has been one of the most recognized single-vineyard Chardonnay labels in California for decades — and was sourced by Peter Michael, Chateau Montelena, and other great California producers before Robert Young began making his own wine.

The estate experience is warm, family-friendly, and genuinely rooted in the agricultural heritage of Alexander Valley. The views from the tasting room over the valley and distant mountains are exceptional.

Robert Young Estate Winery presents a featured lineup that includes Young's Block Chardonnay, Scion Cabernet Sauvignon, Annabelle's Block Chardonnay, and Petit Verdot. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.

"One of Alexander Valley's pioneering farming families since 1858. A beautiful estate Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon program from 700 acres of hills"
