Roberts Ranch Vineyards earns its hidden-gem billing: a family ranch high on a southeast-facing ridgetop above Ben Lomond, where the vineyard catches sunlight, Pacific breezes rising up the San Lorenzo Valley, and - from between the vine rows - a clear view all the way to San Francisco Bay. The boutique estate plants four acres exclusively to Pinot Noir, crafted in small lots with old-world techniques.
The ranch is run by husband-and-wife team Joshua and Sarah Stewman with friends Randall and Sonja Swanson, and everything from farming to bottling stays in their hands. The highly allocated lineup spans the estate Pinot Noir alongside Chardonnay, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc, with the wine club getting first crack at releases that regularly sell through.
Visits run by appointment and lean hard into the farm: remarkable wine paired with farm-to-table experiences, monthly events (club members get priority), lavender fields, and resident sheep completing the ranch picture. It's a thirty-minute forest drive up from Highway 1 - book online, join the club family, and come see the Bay from the vines.
