About Robibero Family Vineyards
Robibero Family Vineyards, also known as Robibero Winery, is a family-owned boutique winery on a 42-acre estate along Albany Post Road near New Paltz, in the Shawangunk Ridge country of New York's Hudson Valley, about 85 miles from New York City. The Robibero family bought the property, which already had a winery on it, in 2003, and opened their own label in 2010; it is now run day to day by Harry and Carole Robibero's daughter Tiffany and her husband Ryan.
The wines are handcrafted in small lots and lean old-world with a modern touch, spanning Rieslings, hybrid whites and reds such as Vidal Blanc, and Bordeaux varietals like Cabernet Franc, plus the popular 87 North blend, ranging from dry to semi-sweet. Because production is limited, the wines are sold almost entirely in the tasting room and online rather than through wide distribution.
Set on the Shawangunk Wine Trail, Robibero is a family- and dog-friendly destination open most of the week, with a fireplace-warmed tasting room, a long deck and pergola-covered patio overlooking the vineyard and ridge, picnic lawns, weekend live music and wood-fired pizza. Tastings are first-come, first-served; it is worth checking the winery's site for current hours and events before visiting.
