Rockbridge is Shep Rouse's valley institution: the Rockbridge County pioneer, trained at Geisenheim and California, planted Raphine's slopes decades ago and built the Tuscarora whites and DeChiel reds that carried the southern valley's case, brewery taps now joining the tasting barn.
