About Sea Shell Cellars
Sea Shell Cellars is named for the sea shell — the empty vessel that holds the sound of the ocean, that carries in its spiral form a memory of the water from which it came. Applied to wine, the sea shell philosophy declares that each bottle holds the memory of the coastal conditions under which the grapes grew: the marine air that cooled the Templeton Gap vineyard each afternoon, the Pacific moisture that influenced the vintage, the coastal California terroir that shaped the fruit.
The North Bethel Road estate in the Templeton Gap District produces Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Cabernet Sauvignon from west-side Paso Robles vineyards with the maritime character the sea shell name celebrates. The daily walk-in tasting room is dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, and family-hospitable — the ocean's memory in a glass, shared accessibly on the western edge of the Paso Robles appellation.
