About Serendipity Farm & Vine
Serendipity Farm & Vine is Johnson County's newest vineyard, tasting room, and event space, set on a scenic farm in Stilwell just east of the Overland Park Arboretum. Founded by Kansas City native Amy Roberts, it grew from a love of nature and family into a working winery, with roughly 3,500 vines planted in 2020 across seven varietals.
Amy's father Tabb brought a background in home winemaking, and George Hoff of Stone Pillar Winery consulted on the move to commercial production. The farm centers on three rustic-elegant barns: the Green Barn houses the winery and tasting room, the Brown Barn serves as a wedding and event venue, and the She Shed offers a four-bedroom getaway. Wines are made on-site and range from the crisp Priam Chardonnay to the bold Foxy Cabernet, and a monarch butterfly, a symbol of transformation, appears on every bottle and at the end of the name. Beyond tastings, guests find a weekend coffee bar, paired chocolates and grazing boards, live music, trivia, and art classes, and the venue has earned Best of Johnson County honors for weddings.
Hours, tasting fees, and reservation policies change with the season, so it is worth checking the winery's website or calling ahead before you visit, especially on weekends. The details on this profile may have shifted since publication, and the producer is always the most authoritative source.
A little piece of heaven came and landed from the sky.
