About Seven Angels Cellars
Seven Angels Cellars is named for the seven angels of the Book of Revelation — the celestial beings who hold the seven seals and preside over the spiritual order of creation. The naming declares a kind of reverence for the winemaking process: approaching wine not as commerce but as something approaching the sacred, something that connects the earthly act of farming to a larger spiritual order.
The Union Road estate in El Pomar District produces Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah from calcareous east-side Paso Robles soils with the care that the spiritual naming implies. The seven angels watch over the vineyard; the winemaker serves as steward rather than creator.
The daily walk-in tasting room is dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, and family-hospitable — the celestial naming is aspirational rather than exclusive, the seven angels' hospitality extended to all who make the drive to Union Road.
