Slouch Hat Wines is Matt Fowler's label, made in the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County. Fowler grew up in Arkansas and found wine country on a road trip with his father, then left a path toward law school to work a harvest instead.
The wines are Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Rhone varieties including Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. This Arkansas address is a tasting outpost for the label rather than a winery, so the pours here come from California fruit.
