About Summerwood Winery
SummerWood sits at the gateway to Paso's west side, one mile off Highway 101 on Arbor Road in the Templeton Gap, where the estate crafts small lots of Rhone and Bordeaux wines exclusively from westside fruit, mostly Willow Creek and Templeton Gap vineyards. The house signatures are proprietary blends, Diosa, Diosa Blanc and Sentio, alongside varietal Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Cabernet, made under a philosophy the Osaka-based owners describe with the Japanese concept of omotenashi: hospitality that anticipates rather than responds.
That hospitality is literal: the nine-room SummerWood Inn sits inside the estate vineyard, treating guests to cooked-to-order breakfasts, an evening wine reception and turn-down caramels, making SummerWood one of the west side's few true stay-and-taste estates. Tastings run daily from 10am on picnic-friendly grounds beneath the oaks. Note: this producer also appears in our catalog as Summerwood Winery & Inn; both entries describe the same Arbor Road estate.
